Pauline Davis-Thompson

Pauline Davis Thompson was born in Nassau, Bahamas in 1966. In 2000, she closed out her track field career as one of the most thrilling track and field competitors.
The double Olympian gold medalist and former world champion hung up her spikes after her fifth Olympic games and immediately shifted her attention to nurturing the growth of future generations as well influencing global track and field policies.
In 2003, Pauline was first elected to the IAAF Women’s Council and was elected to the IAAF Council in 2007. Through years of experience as an athlete and a coach coupled with experience she gained global respect in athletics sport administration.
She has developed multi-cultural sensitivity and understanding, which she continuously uses to relate not only to athletes but with her colleagues, council members, federations and the world.
