The Bahamas Anti-Doping Commission has scheduled the presentation ceremony for its 2015 National Art and Essay Contest to take place at the Conference Room ground floor Ministry of Education building Thompson Blvd. on Friday 19th February 2016 beginning at 6pm.

BADC Chairman Dr. Jerome Lightbourne expressed great satisfaction in the link the organization has made with the schools around the nation in projecting its “Clean Sports” motto.

“I must congratulate our Roscow Davies who headed this program. We are delighted with the relationship we now have with the schools throughout the country via our National Art and Essay contest. This is our second national effort and the participation was larger than our inaugural event.

“We are thankful to the school principals and teachers who assisted with the process as young boys and girls presented their concepts of “Putting Quality Into Practice” through their artwork and essays,” said Dr. Lightbourne in a BADC statement.

There were a total of 83 contestants, 48 in the art and 35 in the essay categories. Nine schools from New Providence participated; six from Grand Bahama and one from Abaco.
